I met up tonight with an assortment of people. David and Andy came over, and there was a short cameo from Ashley Pearson. We listened to some Eno and relaxed on the deck, and Andy was really interested in getting some ideas down in Reason. So the three of us whipped out the synth and spread Reason out across two monitors and began working, generating ideas, passing around the keyboard.

It’s awfully weird being here without a broken arm/dysfunctional hand. Also, not having PJ or Chris here is uncomfortable – there is no one to eat lunch with, not to mention that I forgot the code to the lunchroom. Additionally, last year when I was bored, I just surfed the internet looking for information about radial nerve palsy.
What this means is that I’ll be able to write some updates everyday.
The last time I wrote here, I was in the middle of finals. Things have cleared up since then, and I’ve been sleeping a good 8-9 hours a night. It’s very refereshing. This entry will be a former draft combined with some new insight, so it may become confusing.
I remember going into my first scheduling meeting and feeling extremely out of place. I was worried about getting too many graveyard shifts being a newbie, and ended up voluntarily taking two 5:30 shifts during the week, and a 7:30.
There have been times over the past few months where I’ve really considered writing in this blog again, only to have some new project or obligation arrive at my doorstep in a package with a bow. I’m not apologizing, but miss tying these threads together. It’s not lack of time – writing a few paragraphs doesn’t take a while. It’s actually organizing and reflecting on what’s been happening lately, the whirlwind that the end of the semester has created, and logging it all.
My birthday was memorable. OASN took a trip to Drexel to sing with their groups, and we stopped at cracker barrel on the way. Maybe 60% of joy during roadtrips come from rest stops. In the same way that women have their menstrual cycle at the time when they live together, male a capella groups crave the exact same type of food at the exact same moment. Generally that means Wendy’s or Steak n Egg.
