Two Alternative Meditation Technique

I’ve become fascinated lately with meditation techniques that go beyond just sitting and breathing. It turns out you can meditate basically anywhere, even while you’re driving. In fact, it’s particularly _potent _to meditate while driving. This is because meditation is the process of becoming aware, rather than dozing off. What better place to become aware than on the road? Most of the time we spend driving is spent on other thoughts. Like being in the shower, it provides a very easy opportunity for mindfulness.

Another one: keep your phone far away and have a meal with someone. When the twitches to pick it up intensify, resist the urge. Come back to the present moment, the conversation, the wholesome meal. Each time you return, you awaken.
